Adjustments to the Residential Collection Extras Program.
8/23/21 Billings, Mont. – Starting September 6, 2021 — The Residential Collection Extras Program will discontinue weekly pick-up and assume a monthly pick-up schedule. Residents may order an additional cart for a fee to meet capacity needs if necessary. All extras must be bagged or boxed and weigh less than 75 LBS per container. Yard rubbish, as described in City Code 21-205, must be bundled, tied, and are limited to 4 feet in length, 75 LBS in weight, and a diameter of 2 feet per bundle (individual branches cannot exceed 6 inches in diameter). Yard waste and rubbish generated by lawn services must be disposed of by the contractor. Yard rubbish that does not meet the parameters above and all other bulky items (furniture, appliances, and large branches, etc.) must be scheduled for pick-up and are subject to a fee. Construction and demolition (C&D) waste will not be picked-up under the extras or bulky programs. Temporary roll-off containers are available to rent, and the Billings Regional Landfill accepts drop-off at the facility.
