Education Outreach Program
Public Education and Outreach is the single most important tool when it comes protecting our watersheds and making sure our valuable resources are available for future generations. The Environmental Affairs Division is committed to providing education to our youth about our stormwater management systems. Please join in on the fun and follow us on Facebook to find out where the next event will be!
A Shiloh Conservation Area Walking Tour provides the public the opportunity to learn about this unique ecosystem and fascinating local project for it naturally processes water runoff from Billings’ streets and re-wilds an urban area. | Come find our Environmental Affairs team at the very popular among kids and family Saturday Live event on Sep. 24th @ Pioneer Park for some games, fun run, live entertainment, food, & more. |
Every year at our Water Week Open House event, we bring out the fun and interactive 3D stormwater system model to demonstrate to friends and neighbors how our local stormwater ends up in the Yellowstone River. | In collaboration with Bright n' Beautiful, we bring the community together to clean up our neighborhoods, provide Christmas trees recycling at several locations around town, and add native plants to beautify our environment. |
